Deep, full-bodied, and beautifully ripe, the 2022 red Mercurey Les Carabys boasts an intensity of color and flavor that is quite remarkable. The nose is immediately filled with notes of black fruits, particularly cherry, complemented by integrated yet pronounced oak. On the palate, this pinot from low yields reveals all the power one would expect from a wine from the Côte de Nuits! The texture is phenomenal, concentrated, and profound, while remaining extremely fresh and juicy. This wine is destined for a long aging potential. Hand-harvested, totally de-stemmed, cold pre-fermentation maceration for 5 days. Alcoholic fermentation in vats and malolactic fermentation in barrels.Aged in oak barrels, 20% new, for 12 months.
