With 11 hectares in Mercurey, Manu Bautista crafts wines of exceptional depth and balance, showcasing concentrated, pure flavors. His thoughtful choices in vineyard management and aging allow the character of his village and premier cru terroirs to shine.
Wine Enhanced by the richness of the vintage and luxurious aging, the 2023 White Mercurey Cuvée Marie-Christine opens with enticing toasted notes of grilled bread, brioche, and subtle pastry aromas. This is pure indulgence, showcasing perfectly ripe fruit and delivering a full, intense, and persistent palate, beautifully balanced by a vibrant, mineral-driven tension. A true favorite of the Selection Committee, rated 92/100.
Vinification Hand harvested. Pressing 100% whole grapes, light settling. Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation followed by 12 months' ageing in 228-litre oak barrels, 20% of which are new and 80% of which are 1 and 2 years old. Production of 3,500 bottles.
Made from grapes purchased from 40-year-old vines on 40 ares of clay-limestone soil.
