Bordering the Côte Rôtie appellation to the south, the 2021 red Vin de France La Rosine outclasses its terroir and appellation. According to Robert Parker, it's a little Côte Rôtie that doesn't know itself... Purity and finesse come together on the nose, with beautiful granite aromas and delicate, smoky notes from the Syrah, barely touched with bacon. The palate is supple, carrying a gourmet juice, accessible and crisp, very pure and tasty, in all simplicity. A bottle to enjoy now and over three years with roast chicken. A remarkable quality of juice, thanks to ageing in barrels that have housed the estate's Côte Rôtie.
